MLK Jr. Celebration 2026

“There comes a time when the cup of endurance runs over, and men are no longer willing to be plunged into the abyss of despair” -Dr. MLK Jr.

On January 19th, 2026, the historic annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will honor the profound legacy of a leader who showed us how to protect and advance our freedoms through dignity, integrity, and peaceful action—principles our community needs now more than ever.

We invite you to join us for an intergenerational celebration from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the Missoula Holiday Inn Downtown, followed by a community social and meal from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall downstairs.

The event will bring together local racial justice leaders, youth voices, and community artists in a powerful demonstration of unity and purpose. Featured elements include our annual Youth Art & Essay Contest, musical performances by local artists, and inspiring calls to action from youth leaders.
